The Power of Nature is so extraordinary it can change, well it actually changes landscapes and construction, architecture buildings. It can also destroy them, but but that is not the point.
Human-being intervention can also be as strong.
The difference is one is controlled by us, and the other is not.
Now it is winter. Recently it was Christmas... and both Nature as snow, and human intervention, through lightening has made London, and most cities in Europe change they're aspect for a couple of months.
So ... I think we must think as architects, as engineers, but mostly as living people about the climatic changes, and the ones we make at specific moments of the year, when it comes to decorate, create, invent a new place or renevent one.
The magic we can add to it through different lightening as in Xmas, and through various decorations such as the Xmas Tree. Or the mysterious and special feeling we get and live when a city is covered in white, and its trees are naked. And while we walk through it we smell that special winterish odor that is a mixture of roasted chestnuts and burned wood from the chimneys.
So not only our personal living spaces change, but the entire city does it the same time. Which is something special and surprising at the same time.
